Arctic Grade Crane & Reeling Cables
Arctic Grade Crane & Reeling Cables | -40°C to -60°C Cold Flexibility
RouLine Arctic Grade Crane & Reeling Cable is engineered for the harshest cold environments, delivering a critical balance of extreme low-temperature flexibility, superior abrasion resistance, and high mechanical strength through advanced TPE/TPEE material formulation and robust structural design. As a premier choice among cold-resistant reeling cables, it ensures reliable power transmission and control signal integrity even in sub-zero conditions down to -60°C.
Specifically designed for mobile equipment in northern climates, this cable eliminates the common issue of standard cable jackets becoming brittle and cracking in temperatures as low as -40°C to -50°C. Deployed extensively on overhead cranes, gantries and port machinery, it ensures uninterrupted power supply and operational safety even in extreme freezing conditions.
Key Features
1. Extreme Low-Temperature Flexibility & Crack Resistance
Specialized Cold-Resistant Compound: Utilizes a high-performance TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) jacket and TPEE insulation.
Guaranteed Performance in Extreme Cold: The specially formulated TPEE insulation maintains dielectric integrity and flexibility down to -60°C to -80°C, while the TPE outer jacket remains pliable down to -40°C to -50°C, ensuring the cable does not "freeze" or become brittle, thus preventing jacket rupture during flexing.
2. Superior Mechanical Strength for Dynamic Crane Operations
High Tensile & Tear Strength: Designed to withstand the constant dragging, reeling, and high-tensile forces typical of crane and gantry applications. The robust TPE jacket offers excellent tear resistance against abrasion from ice and rough terrain.
Dynamic Bending Reliability: Engineered for millions of bending cycles under cold stress. The combination of stranded conductors and flexible compounds ensures the cable can withstand repeated bending, vibration, and impact without conductor breakage or jacket separation.
3. Enhanced Environmental Adaptability
Multi-Stress Tolerance: Beyond ultra-low temperature performance, the jacket exhibits excellent resistance to aging, UV radiation, and most importantly—industrial oils and grease, which are commonly present in metallurgical and machinery applications.
Moisture & Icing Resistance: The dense jacket structure features ultra-low water absorption, effectively preventing insulation failure caused by moisture ingress from ice, snow, or meltwater, ensuring reliable operation in snowy and icy conditions.
