Subsea Hybrid CAT6 + Fiber Optic Cable
Subsea Hybrid Communication Cable
Integrating CAT6 Copper Cable with Single/Multi-Mode Fiber Optics to Provide Dual Assurance of High Bandwidth and High Reliability for Subsea Equipment
Our subsea hybrid communication cable is a revolutionary solution for modern marine observation, underwater robotics (ROV/AUV), offshore energy platforms, and defense/security applications. It innovatively combines standard CAT6 twisted-pair copper cable with multi-core fiber optics within a single robust sheath, enabling simultaneous power supply, Gigabit Ethernet communication, and ultra-high-capacity fiber optic data transmission in one cable. This integrated design eliminates the challenges of cable entanglement and complex deployment, making it the ideal choice for building efficient and reliable subsea systems.
Core Features
Dual Transmission in One Cable: Simultaneous transmission of power, high-speed data (RJ45), and optical communication signals.
Extreme Bandwidth: Fiber optic channels provide 10Gbps+ bandwidth, meeting the demands of HD video, sonar, and big data transmission from sensors.
Rugged and Durable: Designed specifically for harsh underwater environments, offering corrosion resistance, high-pressure tolerance, and tensile/torsional strength.
Simplified Deployment: Single-cable integrated solution significantly reduces deployment complexity, saves onboard space, and lowers long-term maintenance costs.
Flexible Customization: Fiber core count, cable length, armor type, and connectors can be customized according to project requirements.
Technical Specifications
Electrical: Comprises 4 pairs of 23 AWG CAT6 twisted-pair cable, 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet standards.
Fiber Optic: single-mode (OS2) or multi-mode (OM3/OM4) fibers, with flexible configurations from 2 to 24 cores.
Power Conductors: Optional integrated independent power pairs (e.g., 12 AWG) are available to support high-voltage power delivery requirements.
Operating Depth: deeper custom ratings available upon request.
Tensile Strength: Standard tensile strength exceeds 10 kN, which can be further enhanced with upgraded armor configurations.
Outer Diameter: Outer diameter ranges approximately from 18mm to 25mm, with the final dimension dependent on the chosen configuration.
Operating Temperature Range: Capable of stable operation across a broad temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
Sheath Material: Available with either seawater-resistant High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or abrasion and cut-resistant Polyurethane (PU) sheathing.
Connectors: Supports fully customized connector solutions, ensuring compliance with IP68/IP69K ingress protection ratings and subsea pressure standards.
